What Will You Find In The Jungle?

This puzzle is pretty darn hard, but full of delightful surprises.

We are just finishing alpha-testing this puzzle inspired by Rudyard Kipling's the Jungle Book, and it's an incredible experience.

I really worried about getting the color reproduction right on this one - these kinds of purples are difficult to print correctly, and I didn't want the colors to come out too dark and muddy.

Luckily the colors came out rich and deep and really beautiful!

OK, so if you get this puzzle, first you are probably going to put together those delightful birds and this light green part - here's a sneak peek at the puzzle pieces and whimsy style by our puzzle designer Marcelle Jay Iremedio:

You can see the pieces are curvy and very irregular and are going to challenge your ability to mentally rotate, but it is really the tons of split connectors that make this puzzle hard!

After you get the birds together you have some deep dark jungle to explore, and while we have hidden some extra cool whimsy surprises in there, it's just really hard to sort the pieces by color, so it's sort of a any-piece-could-go-anywhere challenge that looks like this:

And I told you there's an irregular edge, right? That means there's no sorting out the edge pieces!

We kept being surprised at what went where, and felt a nice sense of accomplishment with each piece we got in. Of course, we don't look at the box picture (heck, there is no box picture yet, we are still testing the prototype!), and if you're looking for the most bang for your buck, I recommend hiding your box picture too!

Summary: really fun, but pretty darn hard!
