We sincerely apologize for running out of the new Sage of Yamatai and Cathedral of the Changing Tides puzzles before everyone who signed-up to be notified could get one.
Our top priorities remain making sure our employees and community are safe, and complying with all governmental regulations, but that means we are under-stocked at a time of high demand - please bear with us.
Check this blog in the coming days for more news about what puzzles we will have in-stock when.
Replying to Amos asking “Why not save a puzzle for those who signed up to be notified when they’re back in stock? Second time this has happened!!”
I hear you, and I apologize – it is super frustrating. We don’t have a mechanism to do what you suggest.. We’ve considered direct-shipping, but that takes a lot manpower at-the-shop that we don’t have – it’s much more efficient if we use our minimal manpower for puzzle-making, then ship batches to the warehouse in Nevada that specializes in shipping stuff out.
We’ll keep brainstorming, but the best idea we’ve come up with so far (and have been executing on) is just to ship larger batches at once of fewer puzzles.
However, that reduces the variety of puzzles we can stock and how often we get puzzles into stock, so that has some downsides too.
Thanks for continually bringing puzzles back in stock when you can. Hopefully you guys aren’t too frazzled! I’m hoping for Randall Spangler’s Some Enchanted Evening to come back.
