Can you guess which well-known expressionist artist painted each of the four paintings below?
Expressionism started before WWI in Europe, and rose to prominence during the Weimar Republic in the interwar years. Its brash bold colors beguiled some, but was bedeviled by the Nazis as degenerate.
According to the Tate Museum, Expressionism is an art movement in which subjects are distorted to reflect the feelings of the artist on the subject.
Take a careful look at each artwork and put your knowledge to the test to see if you can guess the corresponding artist.
