This is a fun 303 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of a sci-fi / fantasy landscape titled Stalking the Unicorn, as it was the cover image for the book with that title. Our puzzle pieces are themed to the artwork with a spattering of animal whimsy pieces and animal tracks by Jimmy Farmer. This puzzle has a straight edge and average difficulty. Like all our puzzles, the pieces are laser-cut and are 1/4 inch thick wood. Packaged in our standard pine wood box (sliding lid). Made in the USA.

Review: This unique puzzle made me want to read the book! It has lots of arrow shaped connectors of various sizes, and what I think are ghost-shaped whimsies, among many other characters.

Review: This isn't an image we would have normally picked but stumbled upon it and decided to give it a go. It was quite enjoyable and a touch on the difficult side due to the coloring of the image. We really enjoyed the animal and mythological creature whimsies that was in this one.

Review: Large pieces make this a more conventional puzzle than many Artifacts; the challenge and the interest comes from the detailed image, as well as the fantastic themed whimsies (including arrows that don't necessarily point in the right direction...). The creatures in the picture are doing some strange things!

Review: You may require a shift in perception to enter into Resnick's world of the "other Manhattan", but if you manage it, John Justin Mallory, Mürgenstürm, Felina and the Grundy are all there to be found. I would never have discovered them if not for this puzzle, a puzzle that had lived in the shadows just beyond my perception until the day I caught a certain glimpse of it out of the corner of my eye and began to notice what a curious and compelling image it was. Solving the puzzle is great fun with its unique detective themed design keyed to Resnick's novel that will keep you searching in all directions for the solution. Perhaps you may find, as I did, that the puzzle will compel you to check out Resnick's detective novel Stalking the Unicorn. Knowing the backstory is certainly no requirement to enjoying this puzzle but why not double your pleasure!
