This wooden jigsaw puzzle has 402 pieces and is a highly-detailed, beautiful and colorful jungle scene by Marie Amalia. 

The puzzle is average hard for our puzzles: it has a straight edge, square-ish pieces with diverse connectors, and robust animal whimsies  (some animals are one-piece whimsies, but some animals are hiding out as multi-piece whimsies that you might not spot at first!)

The puzzle was designed by Gema Palacios and David Figueiras. 

Like all our puzzles, made with 1/4" thick wood and the pieces are laser-cut.

Packaged in a wood box with sliding lid, small picture of the image on top, and engraved side label.

Made in the USA (specifically, in Port Townsend, Washington).

Review: This was perfect: I'm just an occasional puzzler doing up to 1000, but 250 - 500 is my comfort zone. I'm looking more for the fun and joy than for the challenge. I did cheaper wood puzzles from Amazon before, which I liked, but I never had one from a HQ vendor like Artifact. It really made a difference! I had so much fun - there are so many different things you can go by, the shape, the connectors, the whimsies, the colors, the picture elements, and the cut layout is very clever and playful but still conventional enough for a beginner... It was never too hard and never boring. The colors are super vibrant and the print quality is great, I love the picture itself, and I love the wooden box and the smell of slightly burnt wood. Too expensive for an every day puzzle (unless you are rich) but a really nice special treat! Also: After disassembling it's still in perfect condition, so I will give it as a present to somebody else.
