This is a dramatic 539 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of "Wild Things" by Jethro Buck. We'd be lion if we said this puzzle wasn't fantastic.

Jethro Buck is a contemporary British painter trained in traditional Indian and Persian miniature painting techniques, and this finely-detailed image has a mix of both modern and ancient imagery in the Indian miniature style.

The unique puzzle design by Jef Bambas has a straight edge and includes animal whimsies and large connector-less sections. That is, about half of the pieces have connectors, and those pieces form frames, and then the other half of the pieces do not have connectors, so putting them in is a little bit like tangrams with images.  This makes the puzzle a lot harder than normal puzzles.

You can read reviews for our smaller similar connectorless puzzles like Egon Schiele's Four Trees and the Van Os Flowers

Like all our puzzles, made with 1/4" thick wood and the pieces are laser-cut. Packaged in our 3" pine wood box. Made in the USA.

11" x 23"

Manufacturer recommended age: 15 years and up

Review: Working this puzzle with the connectorless pieces has been a wonderfully unique experience. First I worked the frame, and then built the interior of the puzzle which formed three separate very large whimsies themed to the art of the puzzle. I love how Artifact keeps coming up with new design concepts that make puzzle working different and challenging (without being too hard) for people who want something special to work once in awhile. Highly recommend this one!

Review: I didn’t enjoy this particularly because all the rounded edge pieces were hare to place and slithered around, making it a particular challenge, even when pieces were ‘in place’. Also the small images and pale colors made it challenging.

Review: I agree that it looked really cool in the end and made some surprising designs, but I struggled with the connectorless element - it made it very awkward to shift pieces around in the midst of construction

Review: Not such an easy puzzle - think cross between a puzzle and a Stave puzzle with the “curvy” pieces that fit into three sub sections but fit with no spaces. The color is muted but the graphics are lovely - you just have to look closely to see all the details. I very enjoyed the project.

Review: I was a little nervous about this puzzle given the diverse comments, but I really enjoyed it! Yes I do wish the image was brighter but the connector-less pieces didn't bother me and if you take the time to look closely, there are some fun goings-on on the image.
