This is a 418-piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of "Dawning Saguaro" by contemporary impressionist painter Erin Hanson.
Puzzle design by Tara Flannery. The design has lots of Sonoran Desert themed whimsies amidst its reverse-mushroom curl pieces in a southwest-inspired pattern. Its edge is straight and it is a bit harder-than-average.
Like all our puzzles, made with 1/4" wood and laser-cut in Port Townsend, Washington.

I love a puzzle design that incorporates the image's theme, and Tara Flannery goes a step further with this one by incorporating the spirit of the art as well. Her cuts include lots of deceptive false edges, just like Erin Hanson's beautiful desert sky. I recommend not trying to put together the frame first, but instead following the colors and the mood. This will make for a more peaceful experience and a better feel for the both the art and the design.
