Review: I love this illustrator but this artwork seemed a little muted and hard to read? Still a very fun and easy little puzzle.

Review: A charming village indeed! I can so imagine my sons as young boys tearing across that sward. The colors are lively, practically luminous. The image with its prodigious detail pulled me into its wacky albeit thought-provoking story. It was not overly difficult and the pieces themselves were I guess you could say medium-sized – perhaps slightly larger than average. I resisted putting the completed puzzle back in its box and just enjoyed it for a few days. Hanging with this puzzle was a very charming way to spend some time.

Review: I must admit that I really like the hard, challenging, puzzles, but I put this on my wish list, because some of my puzzles are simply too difficult for my mother, who suffers from Alzheimers, but still likes to do puzzles. If it has a straight edge and not too many pieces, then she can do it without getting too frustrated. I liked the whimsical image of this puzzle and thought it might not be too hard for my Mom. I enjoyed it, but it was pretty easy for me. My mom can do it, with a bit of help and encouragement. Her brother also has Alzheimers and he can't do it, at all, so I think that my mother is not the best gauge to measure the difficulty level of puzzles for those who are memory challenged. That said, this is probably the easiest puzzle that I have and my mom can do it many, many, times (without recognizing that she has done it before). It is beautifully crafted and has delightful whimsy pieces and distinctly different colored sections which makes it easier to sort the pieces, or to attempt to put together the perimeter edge pieces. For those who are not accustomed to the more complex, difficult puzzles, I would say that it is a good place for beginners.
