A 262-piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of naturalist Ernst Haeckel's 1899 illustration of 12 hummingbird species.
The puzzle is a bit harder than average for its piece count, it has irregular piece shapes and connector shapes, a straight edge, and just a few themed whimsy pieces. Puzzle design by Maria Berg.
The 12 hummingbirds illustrated are: Ruby-throated, Horned Sungem, Crimson Topaz, Red-tailed Comet, Tufted Coquette, Sword-billed, Buff-tailed Sicklebill, Dot-eared Coquette, Omismy petasophora, Hooded Visobearer, Hylocharis stokesii, and the Booted racket-tail.
All our puzzles are made of 1/4" thick real wood in the USA.

Both Puzzles were a challenge and unique in their own way. My daughter had to finish the black irregular border on the Veggie man-- I couldn't "see" the edges.

I own 4 of your puzzles...one was a gift and I have purchased 3 more. The latest one being the hummingbirds which is beautiful! I bought this one in memory of my adult daughter who passed away last year and she loved hummingbirds! The only criticism I have is that the pieces don’t lock together very well and keep shifting. I would like to see them lock together more securely. Other than that, they are a delight to put together. Thank you.
