This 169 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of Still life of Fruit and Poppies by Dutch painter Wim Schuhmacher is bright and cheery.
The puzzle is average hard with very irregular floral and foliage puzzle piece shapes and connectors, just a couple whimsies, and a straight edge. Puzzle design by David Figueiras.
Painted in 1914, this painting has a surprisingly contemporary feel.
Laser-cut from thick 1/4" thick wood. Packaged in a blue box with magnetic clasp.
Made in the USA, in the Victorian harbor town of Port Townsend, Washington.

I really loved this puzzle! The colors were so softly cheerful and soothing after months of our wintery grey and blizzardy landscape, but what I really loved was two-fold. The flowery connecters were fun and cheerful, piece by piece and, because there were flowers throughout, the designer kept it simple with whimsies. I love whimsies as much as the next puzzler, but, I must admit, other companies (not Artifact) put in too many sometimes! I love them, but in great enough numbers they start to detract from the puzzle itself (I save my whimsies until the end to put in). I won't spoil anything, but the whimsies for this puzzle were just perfect! I was so happy I got to do this puzzle this bleak-ish winter.
