This is a wild 446 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of "Bad Apples" by Joe Vaux.

Warning: we rate this puzzle PG-13 for cartoonish nudity and depictions of violence - see the pictures for representative examples.

The characteristically unusual and detailed art of Joe Vaux is celebrated by a wild and unusual puzzle design by Tara Flannery and Jef Bambas. Perhaps the only ordinary features of the design are the straight border edge and its mostly knob-shaped connectors. The themed whimsies are extra-strange, and the piece shapes are unique smoke-ring like nested pieces. The whole puzzle connects tightly, but the smoke-ring pieces are 3-4 nested connectorless ring pieces - tip: slide don't lift those, or they come apart!

The overall difficulty of the puzzle is average, but some puzzlers might find it a little on the easy side.

Like all our puzzles, made with 1/4" thick wood and the pieces are laser-cut. Packaged in our standard pine wood box.

Made in the USA.

Review: I have dozens of Artifact puzzles that I've collected over the years and recently added this one to my Joe Vaux collection. This puzzle is hands-down my absolute favorite that I've ever bought. I loved the unique smoke-ring pieces and Joe Vaux's creations are stunning as always. Amazing product and I would highly recommend.

Review: Our son (who loves creepy haunted heeby-jeeby dark stuff) picked this one out and we worked it together as a family. What a great puzzle. He was entranced for hours which is unusual. It'll be fun to do this one over again.

Review: This puzzle is WILD. Aaron doesn't care what we work but he was shocked this was an image I picked. Lots of demons, nudity, and strange creatures. Bad apples doesn't disappoint in any way. The cut is very unique and helped make it quite easy, but this one is adults only! If you like creepy images buy this one today!

Review: Now that I have done several Ecru puzzles, I am increasingly bothered by the black outlines on Artifact pieces. The black lines really mar the beautiful images, particularly when the image is light colored, as in this puzzle. I would love to see some of the Artifact classics re-released as Ecru puzzles.

Review: I stayed up all night finishing this one - it just flowed like a raft down a river. This one has some puzzle piece shapes I've never seen before but seem obvious in retrospect: tree-ring like shapes that fit inside each other so they don't need connectors. The tree-rings fall apart when you move them around the table to put them into place, which caused some not-so-child-friendly expletives the first few times it happened, but since each ring is only a few pieces it wasn't a big deal. Once you get the tree-rings in-place, the whole thing holds together like champ, and the imaginative painting details pop-out at you - it's a fascinating image that would make Dali jealous.
