This beautiful 236 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of a lily pond by UK painter Este MacLeod has our new nested spiral pieces, and just a few whimsies, and an irregular edge (not shown) that makes it hard to pick out the edge pieces ahead of time.

This puzzle is on the borderline between harder-than-average and  really hard for its piece count. It is not as hard as our split tendril connector puzzles, but definitely challenging.

Note this puzzle has bigger than usual pieces in order to make the pieces robust.

Puzzle design by David Figueiras.

Like all our puzzles, laser-cut from 1/4" thick wood.

12" x 12" when completed.

Packaged in a pine wood box with sliding lid, small picture on top of the box, and an engraved side label.

The irregular edge is NOT shown on the box picture!

Made in USA (specifically, in Port Townsend, Washington).

Manufacturer recommended age: 15 years and up

Review: What a delightful puzzle! It made me approach solving in a new way. It was loads of fun putting together spirals, not worrying about where they would eventually be placed. I usually depend on a combination of the picture on the box (or on the website) and the shapes of the pieces. With this puzzle, I used colors and shapes, enjoying the challenge of all the wonderful interlacing curves. Only after I had most of the spirals completed did I turn to the picture to put it all together. I love the way the designer, David Figueiras, uses curves in his puzzles; this one takes curves to the max. I look forward to doing this puzzle many times! BTW, Ecru puzzles are definitely worth any extra cost. The exacting fit adds an extra measure of confidence to placement.

Review: This puzzle was challenging! At first I thought I had encountered a white whale and I wasn’t going to be able to put two pieces together. I bow down to the designer, they did a fantastic job on this one. Gorgeous artwork and colors

Review: Lovely and challenging. When we first got the pieces spread out I thought it would be too hard for me and I almost gave up before starting, but my husband was like "Come on we can do this!" and we did and it really wasn't so hard once we started to really look at the pieces. Just a few whimsies and they won't help you much!
