Artifact Puzzles - Matt Lyon Monastery Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

$ 110.00

This is a 460 piece puzzle of Matt Lyon's "Monastery." The puzzle itself is also designed by the artist. A number of multi-piece whimsies lend structure to the puzzle's huge variety of pieces and connectors. Don't let the bright colors and simple shapes mislead you - though beautiful, this puzzle is challenging and complex.

Like all our puzzles, laser-cut from 1/4" thick wood. Packaged in our standard unfinished pine wood box. Made in USA (specifically, in Fremont, California).

Review: It isn't just the irregular edge that's challenging, but also the use of "blank space" throughout the whole puzzle. I love Artifact puzzles and am quickly amassing a collection. The bright colors and tricky connectors were just the thing I needed after a stressful day. A good jigsaw puzzle is a balm on your soul and a tactile meditation.

Review: I would have a difficult time choosing my most favorite Artifact puzzle, but this one would be a contender. The border is tricky and very entertaining. Love the whimsey pieces and the colorful scene. No wonder I have become an Artifact puzzle enthusiast. Thanks for many enjoyable hours.

Review: On a daily basis, I visit my mother in Memory Care for a walk, then we complete jigsaw puzzles together. She and I have many Artifact puzzles. Yesterday, I completed Monastery by myself because she would have enjoyed it in her prime, but even with my help this would be too difficult for her now. I loved the colors and fanciful design. The irregular border, picture and whimsy pieces engaged me in a fun way throughout its completion.

Review: This is a delightful puzzle in so many ways, fun whimsies, great colors, so many small surprises, designs within designs. It is also quite a large puzzle, so it takes many hours to put it together. It is almost like meditating, or yoga... remember to breathe, be at peace with the growing forms, the connections, the wholeness, holiness of your experience. There is a time and place for everything, and it is wondrous to behold when that final piece is joined to all the others.

Review: The irregular edge is the standout feature of this puzzle, which added some real trickiness to the assembly and produced some charming surprises. My copy was a little sticky in terms of getting some of the pieces together, unusually for Artifact, but it was still a lot of fun to put together.
