This is a beautiful 184 piece puzzle of a Carolina landscape by contemporary American painter Mary Benson.

The puzzle is harder-than-average with our signature split tendril connector pieces, but a straight edge and a smattering of whimsies keeps it from being too hard. Puzzle design by Tara Flannery. 

Pieces are extra-large so that they don't break, despite their fancy shapes.  

Like all our puzzles, laser-cut from thick 1/4" thick wood.

Made in the USA (specifically, in Port Townsend, Washington).

Packaged in a wood box with sliding lid, small picture of the image on top, and engraved side label.

Review: This puzzle isn't like your usual puzzle, without even a single normal connector. Instead, there's a few different variants of the piece shapes, but they all follow a sort of split tendril pattern where it can take a few different pieces to actually connect them together. All the strong contrasting colors lend themselves well to helping match the right pieces, because a lot of the pieces have the same shapes, so it's easy to put them in the wrong spots. This picture also reminds me a lot of the stained glass windows, with all the tree branches split up into little color sections. Artifact has a few other split tendril puzzles, but this one really came together well with a great combination of art and piece design, giving it just that right level of difficulty, and a beautiful picture to top it all off.
