This is a 418 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of "Australia Map" by Liv Wan.
The puzzle difficulty is average, and it has fun Australian whimsy pieces shaped like an aboriginal digeridoo musician and a salute to Steve Irwin, the celebrated Australian Crocodile Hunter, and lots more down-under fun. The puzzle has irregular piece shapes, knob connectors and a straight edge. Puzzle design by Tara Flannery.
Like all our puzzles, made with 1/4" thick wood and the pieces are laser-cut.

No worries, Mate, you will love this puzzle!! However, having been fully indoctrinated into the "Artifact Method" of working on puzzles, we have become accustomed to searching for shapes, as opposed to looking at the puzzle image; the many Artifact fans of Mystery Puzzles will know what we mean. Here, in Australia, we were attracted, compelled, and interested in the details of the image; Liv Wan's wonderful dip into the landmarks, food specialties, animal life, and cultural traditions of the Australians were captivating. When we found the whimsy of the Aboriginal digeridoo player, we even went online to hear a recording of the instrument being played and a little lecture on how the natives created this unusual device; they had to have help from the local termites in the process!! Well, we love Australia and we loved this adventure into the country, so we encourage you to "throw some shrimp on the barbie", enjoy the puzzle and reward yourself, upon completion, with a "good on ya"!
