This is a 292 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of Vikram Madan's 2014 painting, "The Physical Impossibility of Sadness in the Mind of the Befriended."
Designed by Jef Bambas, this puzzles features cartoonish split tendril connectors with extra connectors so this puzzle is of average-difficulty with an irregular edge, and adventurous whimsies. NOTE: The irregular edge is not shown in the image on the box!
With its bright colors and cute cheer, this is a great puzzle to do as a family or while reminiscing about all your past escapades.
Like all our puzzles, laser-cut from 1/4" thick wood. Packaged in our standard pine wood box. Made in USA.

What can I say but these split tendrils really suck me in every time. Just love them as I get absorbed into the cut. I think they are the most enjoyable puzzle to put together as they make you think out of the box. The picture is so super cute and very bright and colourful which makes a challenge a little easier than norm. Another wonderful puzzle that will definitely stay in my collection. Thank you Maya for another wonderful puzzle!!!

For me, these were not easier than other split tendrils - maybe just because they were different and less familiar to me. The details in the image are really fun to discover.

Adorable. The pictures and whimsies are so sweet and the colors are bright and cheerful. There are more whimsies than I usually see in split tendril puzzles, and it works well. Love it!

What a project. I worked for 45 minutes before the Steeler game and made little progress other than a fair amount of sorting. The split tendril shapes for some reason make everything significantly slower and harder. In theory one sorts pieces according to the pictures on the wall and just knocks it out, should be easy? Then this shade of lavender looks much like this shade of lavender. It does take a while to assemble all the parts and put all the parts together. This puzzle is not trivial or child's play.
The art on the wall is great fun: self portraits with hadrosaurus, Margret Thatcher, sea monsters, a regular galactic travelogue. I enjoyed all that. The art work may appear childish, however the puzzle is not. For me it required a while to get any traction. First the refrigerator, then the alien at the table were not too bad. Then one by one I put together each little art work and filled in in between. Maybe 292 pieces in 200 minutes the puzzle should only rate "Average" difficulty, however let me assure you one must work for nearly every placement.
Naturally the colors were clear and bright, easy to work with if you will. I am not put off by the difficulty of the puzzle, lets agree I was pleasantly surprised. I got my dimes worth of entertainment out of this puzzle.
