Artifact Puzzles - Karen Kunc Verse From Macrocosmica Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

$ 38.00

This 120 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle is a colorful abstract design by Nebraska artist Karen Kunc lyrically titled "Verse From Macrocosmica." The puzzle is challenging: it has an irregular edge, and repetitive fingery-connectors (to see sample pieces, click on the small image beneath the main product image). The puzzle design is by Jim Muller and Tara Flannery, and is a little bit tricker than average. Like all our puzzles, laser-cut from 1/4" thick wood. Packaged in a small box with magnetic clasp. Made in USA.

Review: I love abstract expressionist and colorfield paintings like this. The colors are vivid. What’s most unique about this puzzle and why am not likely to get rid of mine anytime soon is that it has non-interlocking pieces that can be tricky to piece together. I found myself having to push pieces back to place if I bumped it until I found ones that helped lock sections together. So an element of danger to your puzzle piecing! :)

Review: The art is so luminous that I could look at it all day. The puzzle cuts and design are a refreshing change from the usual loops, swirls and arrows of conventional interlocking pieces When you do a lot of puzzles, innovation is bracing.

Review: I am pretty sure this puzzle somehow simultaneously evaluates your intelligence, creativity, and personality, and sends the information off for cataloging in the ether. You cannot believe how tricky this pest is. But in a very delightful way!
