This is a fairly challenging 100 piece puzzle (suitable for adults or teens) of Simon de Myle's 1570 painting of Noah's Ark. The connectors are not-unique, so one must pay careful attention to the image detail to piece the puzzle together, we expect it to take an adult puzzler 30-90 minutes (kind of hard difficulty). The puzzle is mostly square pieces, but there are also a few whimsy pieces shaped like animals in de Myle's 16th century style; puzzle design by Ben Goldman. This puzzle has a straight edge. Like all our puzzles, laser-cut from 1/4 inch thick wood. Packaged in a small blue box with magnetic clasp; photo on the box is tiny! Made in USA.

Review: Don't let the small piece count fool you, they're non unique and you have to look at the image in order to ensure the pieces are placed correctly! A cute little puzzle snack for when you need a break from the bigger ones.

Review: This puzzle was my introduction to Artifact Puzzles. One must have good light, and in my case a magnifying glass to see minute details within the edges of each piece to insure that you have a correct placement of the piece otherwise you may this that a piece is in the correct spot only to realize later when you can not make a logical connection that a previously played piece had to be switched out. This is a good starting puzzle to get introduced to the company and leave you hungry for more. Build time is about 2 hours and medium difficulty. Looking forward to the other Noah's ark puzzles (and Tower of Babel) that Artifact offers. Thanks Artifact!

Review: I can’t tell you the number of times I was sure a piece was in the right spot, only to later realize it wasn’t. With connectors that fit anywhere and subdued colors, I got to the point where I would only work on the puzzle when direct sunlight was on the pieces. “Yes, that’s the piece--no, it’s not; things aren’t going together as they should.” In the end, that was the fun of this little puzzle. If you ever worked a puzzle and figured it was finished too soon, de Myle’s Noah’s Ark is for you. You’ll enjoy the challenge. Small, but Mighty!

Review: Of the trilogy of Noah's Ark puzzles Artifact currently has on offer, de Myle's is the only post-flood image. However much we may like to think of Noah and company emerging from the Ark onto an earth overarched by a rainbow and cleansed of all unrighteousness, what de Myle gives us is a post-apocalyptic vision that is messy and muddy and just a bit creepy. I love it. The connectors are "non-unique" which means every piece pretty much fits every other piece. Mistakes will be made for sure, but not so many that it will drive you crazy! And bonus!, de Myle may have unlocked for us that age-old mystery of the demise of the unicorn! ; ) FUN!!

Review: Not too hard, but challenging and fun. Interesting enough that you will want to put it together again in the future.
