We just released 3 new huge holiday puzzles. Last year we surveyed customers who bought previous advent calendar puzzles, and we got 116 survey responses.
The Venn diagram above shows what those 116 people asked for the most. Thanks for all those survey responses, we did our best to listen to you!
We were planning to only make 1 huge holiday puzzle this year, but the Christmas spirit was so powerful and joyous, and the artists we reached out to to see if they were interested in working with us were all so enthusiastic, that we ended up with 3 rather different puzzles, but all 3 of them capture many of the requested adjectives.
While 29% of people surveyed wanted a more religious puzzle, 70% wanted a "not so religious" puzzle that still felt very Christmas-y.
So all 3 of the new huge holiday puzzles have artwork that just focuses on the joyous chaos of Christmas, and American cultural notions of Santa and elves.
Sleigh Stop does have nativity scene whimsy pieces, but City Christmas and North Pole Depot are fully secular.
We do hope to also release another more religious puzzle next fall (we currently offer one religious Adoration of the Magi puzzle) and have been searching for another more religious Christmas artwork, but haven't found one that surveys well with you guys yet. We will keep trying :).
Two other related adjectives were requested by a lot of you: beautiful and not-so-cutesy. We had a hard time figuring out how to achieve those while also making images that satisfied two even more popular requests: family-friendly and appealing to teens and young adults.
Our best effort at not-so-cutesy is City Christmas by Elisa Lara Campos (crop above), it's got beautiful Victorian buildings and a lovely color palette.
For the Sleigh Stop puzzle (a cozy Nordic lodge truck stop for Santas), we aimed for a beautiful forest and sky with the Northern Lights glowing purple and green:
We divvy'd up these three puzzles between 3 different puzzle designers to help make sure we got different, interesting holiday whimsies for each one. There's some overlap of ideas, but we worked hard to make sure that if you get all of our Christmas puzzles they will each feel unique and a series of charming discoveries and surprises.
Lastly, we're offering each of these 3 puzzles packed in 2 ways, either packed in 24 organza bags as an advent calendar, OR packed as a normal puzzle.
Check the title of the puzzle to make sure you get which version you want - the advent calendar versions cost quite a bit more as it's a lot more work for us to make those!
