This is a 418 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of American contemporary painter Kevin Sloan's "Welcome to the Wilderness" painting, from Sloan's Birds of America series, which re-visits Audubon's famous series of the same name. The puzzle was designed by puzzle artist Tara Flannery, and features a partly-irregular edge, many whimsy pieces with a South American wilderness theme, and the connectors are reverse-mushroom-curl. Like all our puzzles, laser-cut from quarter inch thick wood. Packaged in our standard pine wood box. Made in USA.

Review: This puzzle is fantastic! It has a wonderfully unusual edge and fascinating whimsy pieces, some with see-through cuts. Each suitcase is like a mini puzzle that you can assemble and then fit together. I would rate it as difficult.
Review: So, what does it take to topple an ecosystem? Often, when I’m solving an Artifact puzzle, I find that building off of the whimsy pieces helps me get through the weeds. With Welcome to the Wilderness I didn’t need to. This is not as tough as some Artifact offerings. That, coupled with the many distinct color areas, I think, makes this an ideal candidate to solve with a group of casual puzzle solvers. The colors are gorgeous. The whimsy pieces are plentiful and super imaginative and so fun to make a set-up with. Sloan’s image brought to my mind Joe Banks’ words in Joe Versus the Volcano: “I tell you one thing, though; wherever we go, whatever we do, we’re gonna take this luggage with us!” Made from environmentally-friendly plywood and soy-based ink. Enjoy with friends, family or on your own!
