Review: I'm also a Mary Oliver fan, but not familiar with that poem--will have to look it up. It makes me like this picture even more, and thus this puzzle. What appealed on a visceral level was the bright colors, and the pony's apparent joy in life. The pieces were a joy to work with, the multiple times I've worked it. I like complex pieces, and this puzzle has enough of them! One reason for doing puzzles is to empty my brain of everything else, which I suspect is one definition of medition, contemplation and prayer.

Review: Thank you to reviewer Sylvia for making the connection with Mary Oliver's poem. I was unaware of that piece of the puzzle. This puzzle is enjoyable and a bargain at the price. I love the style and the texture and the colors. It's another of the Artifact puzzles that makes for a nice companion in times of contemplation and prayer.

Review: This was the first puzzle I worked. I was drawn to it by my familiarity with the poem "Blue Horses" by Mary Oliver. The artist Franz Marc, died a young man, shrapnel in his brain, is trying to tell the blue horses the horrors of war; but the little horse seems to be enjoying life and the whimsical piece in front of his mouth is suggestive of a bunch of hay that he is teasing happily into his mouth, unaware of war's terror and destruction. A delightful introduction into wooden puzzle land. It would be poignant to have a copy of the poem accompany the puzzle.
