Ecru Puzzles - Van Gogh Almond Blossoms Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

$ 67.00

This is a 210 piece Ecru wooden jigsaw puzzle of Van Gogh's famous Almond Blossoms. Our Ecru Puzzles line is characterized by a closer cut and a matte finish to reduce glare. A fantastic puzzle design by Tara Flannery transforms Van Gogh's art into a tapestry that pays tribute to Nature's beauty, with an exquisite decorative edge. This is a challenging puzzle with its complex irregular edge and varied pieces but limited color palette. Like all our puzzles, made of 1/4" thick laser-cut wood and made in the USA. Packaged in a blue box with a magnetic clasp.

Review: Stunning image, probably Van Gogh's favorite because he gave it to his newborn nephew. Trying to figure out the curlicues on the corners and the intricate design of the branches is challenging, but armed with patience not impossible. The result is a beautiful work of art that I don't tire admiring, and it lays now for weeks on my coffee table. Like any Artifact or Ecru puzzles, the pieces fits perfectly (not too lose, not too tight), which makes the finished puzzle feel like scales on a fish. Great tactile pleasure.

Review: I've now done the Almond Blossom puzzle by Wentworth (extra difficult cut) and the one by Artifact. I can say that the one by Artifact is unquestionably more fun and for its piece count, possibly about equal in difficulty. I did this puzzle without looking at the box, which I highly recommend. Even if you depend on the box regularly, it would only help you minimally with this design anyway and it was REALLY cool to see the edges come together. The whimsies are very cute and they almost made me miss having more clearly delineated weather seasons...almost.

Review: Beautiful decorative floral image. Lovely ornate cut design. My only wish would be for a slightly more saturated print, however I believe it’s true to the original artwork and is a slightly muted blue color. If you’re tired of all of your puzzle pieces being monotonous and predictable in shape, try this one for variety.

Review: This is everything I love in a puzzle. A beautiful picture with an intricate and interesting cut design that is very challenging. My ideal puzzle, and this is now one of them, is one that when you get down to 10 or 5 or 2 pieces, you still have to figure out which piece goes where. A fantastic afternoon spent with this puzzle. Highly recommend this puzzle.

Review: I had no idea what I was getting into! I bought it for the gorgeous blues, petite size, and had no idea what “decorative edge” might mean , cuz it’s NOT PICTURED! The puzzle unfolded for months in a summer part time home on a wide window ledge with a dreamy view of cedars, a bird feeder swarming with nuthatches, grosbeaks and a downy woodpecker... a piece or two a day...then obsession set in. “No way that space has a piece to fit there I have looked and looked...” as the decorative edge revealed its horrible wonderful self, an experience I had never had before ( and I am old) took hold of me. I cursed and admired the puzzle master from afar. I realized my inexperience. I realized, as I dropped in the last pieces, that I must have MORE. The vistas of puzzling opened before me, vast, punishing, sublime...MORE!
