For serious jigsaw puzzlers only: this 223 piece mystery wooden jigsaw puzzle does not come with a picture on the box (though the image is hidden inside the box in case you need to sneak a peek, or want to label the puzzle box afterwards.) The image is vintage Halloween art re-purposed by Jennifer L. Carson, and while the image is not targeted at kids, it should be okay-for-kids, but is more just spooky in a vintage and Hitchcock-ian way than a kid-way. The puzzle design by Jef Bambas has many Halloween-themed whimsies, and it average hard. Our Ecru Puzzles line is characterized by a closer cut and a matte finish to reduce glare. Like all our puzzles, made of 1/4" thick laser-cut wood and made in the USA. Packaged in a large silver box with a magnetic clasp.

Review: I peeked, so sue me. It was still a grueling 3 hour fight. Puzzle has “non-unique- pieces” meaning the right piece will fit in the wrong place almost all the time. The good news is the matrix is directional so one can correctly orient all the pieces. This is the perfect Halloween Puzzle, nostalgic; tame, charming by any measure. This puzzle has one irregular edge. It actually has ample detail and an internal frames and borders to use as help when piecing together. I made mess out of this puzzle, I ran out of room placing loose pieces on one puzzle tray; so I placed about 20 pieces on a second tray and forgot about the second tray. I was less than successful completing the puzzle with out the missing pieces. It was Monday night football;at the second half two minute warning, and I got out of bed when I remembered the second tray and was done in no time. The Steelers whooped asp on Miami, even with out my help. This puzzle may be experts only for those who will never peek, for most of us who will peek this is a very fun, tricky, campy delight. In general fish out the red pieces first and figure where they go. Then figure out the mice, cat, mirror, broom, pumpkins shadow and wood frame and thick border and you are done. I had great fun which is the measure of any puzzle, even after Halloween I can highly recommend this puzzle.
Review: I just finished doing this puzzle and it was so much fun. Trying to figure out what the picture was as it was being reveled was cool and when we finally got the picture it was such a beautiful piece. And the twist of the puzzle cut was so clever (and slightly irritating in a good way). I do wish there were a larger version as this one was done too soon.
Review: My favorite mystery puzzle to date (and I've enjoyed every one of the previous ones). Halloween is my favorite holiday...that might be part of it. But this little puzzle is seriously creepy and sinister in a beautiful way...if that makes any sense to you. And sneaky? Oh, yeah. You'll be going along, pleased with your progress, and then realize something not obvious must be out of whack. Lots of pieces fit in multiple places and look right...for a while, anyway. This was thoroughly delightful. As much as I wouldn't want mystery puzzles to be too big, I was sorry when this one was finished. Highly recommend!
Review: very cool puzzle. love the tessellation pattern and the whimsies. delightfully eerie image. perfect for the fall..
