For serious jigsaw puzzlers only: this 155 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle does not come with a picture on the box (though the image is hidden inside the box in case you need to sneak a peek, or want to label the puzzle box afterwards.) The image is a brighly-colored cheerful french orphic cubist work from the early 20th century. The puzzle has a straight edge and only one whimsy, and was designed by Ashley Boyd. Warning: the connectors are almost all the same on purpose (non-unique connectors), which means you have to pay attention to the image more than to the piece shapes, but due to the distinct color regions the puzzle is only average-hard. Our Ecru Puzzles line is characterized by a closer cut and a matte finish to reduce glare. Like all our puzzles, made of 1/4" thick laser-cut wood and made in the USA. Packaged in a blue box with a magnetic clasp.

Review: This was our first mystery puzzle, and we are smitten! What fun to put together little snatches of color, until a connection with other bright spots are seen, and the ending - Magnifique!

Review: Individual pieces are colorful and cheery, providing a lot of visual interest. Even though the lack of a picture does make the assembly more challenging, but the myriad of colors does provide enough visual cues to guide placement and keep the puzzling momentum going. The final picture was really not the image I had envisaged, which came as a real surprise (my brain pulled a visual perception trick on me). Aside from the image, there is another hidden surprise! Such a fun and moderately challenging puzzle!
