This wooden jigsaw puzzle has 290 pieces and sports a post-impressionist painting by Maurice Denis of a Pittsburgh Sunset painting.
This is from our Ecru line, which has closer cut pieces and a matte finish, making for a beautiful final image.
Matt Lyon's puzzle design for the Frenchman's representation of Pittsburgh in 1927 is expressed with no whimsies, but is a puzzle of diverse abstract pieces and connectors. This puzzle has a straight edge and is harder than average.
Like all our puzzles, made with 1/4" thick wood and the pieces are laser-cut.
Packaged in our standard pine wood box.
Made in USA.

Very pretty-- I didn't expect to enjoy this puzzle as much as I did -- I enjoyed it a lot. The colors are beautiful and it is a great color study with well done color gradation. A good one to do without the picture. The pieces are all very unique which add to the fun

I really like this style of artwork and I normally am drawn to impressionistic, abstract expressionist, or color field paintings. It’s a bit of rust belt nostalgia in its theme. I do like the dusky twilight colors and unusual but pleasing cut of the pieces. After doing two dozen artifact puzzles- it can be difficult to find something “new” but these shapes and subject matter are a bit different, so nice.

I wasn't attracted to this artwork at first...but it grew on me. I'm glad it did because the puzzle was a real joy to assemble. The colors are soothing in a quirky-mix kind of way and the cut design is fun to work with. Parts of it put up a good fight but definitely keep you interested (no puzzle-fatigue with this one). Highly recommend! (don't use the pic)
