This 150 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle is a bit extra challenging for its size because all of the connectors are the same (non-unique connectors) and there are no whimsies. The painting is a Deccan miniature from the 18th century based on a famous Iranian romance story by Nizami. This puzzle has a straight edge. Like all our puzzles, made of 1/4" thick laser-cut wood in the USA. Packaged in a small box with a magnetic clasp.

We work a lot of puzzles, probably 300 a year with cardboard and wood together. We are ashamed to admit how long this puzzle took us. We will never admit the length of actual time or how many pieces we changed and moved. This is a super challenging one. If you're looking for one to torment you add this one to the cart NOW. We actually did really enjoy this one, and the back with all the same shape was pretty cool!

A perfectly simple and entrancing puzzle: the square pieces and simple connectors (all the same) are like small tiles, and slip into the background as you are focused on the exquisite image details. This is in contrast to the other puzzles I have from this company that have complex piece shapes, but it really feels that they put great effort into choosing the right piece shape for each puzzle.

I love this puzzle. It may be the most natural, cultural cut for the theme of a puzzle. When you are assembling the puzzle it feels as if the puzzle is as old and distant as the painting itself. It is difficult as the connectors are all the same; yet it remains a pleasant diversion. It's a bargain and it's a puzzle that is a pleasure to return to often.
