Artifact Puzzles - Paul Bond The Giver Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

This is a heart-warming 461-piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of "The Giver" by Paul Bond. The design by Tara Flannery embraces the floral patterning of the art, includes chicken and other thematic whimsies, and is bounded by a simple irregular edge.
The chicken whimsy breeds are:
- Serama Rooster and hen (tall, chesty)
- Orpington (on a nest)
- Brahma chicken (feathery feet)
- Silkie (super floofy)
- Leghorn (long legs!)
- Polish (crazy hair)
The puzzle's difficulty is harder than average for its size. Like all our puzzles, made with 1/4" thick wood and the pieces are laser-cut. Packaged in our standard pine wood box. Made in the USA.

This is a wonderful puzzle! We love the art of Paul Bond, which has been described as "Magical Realism"; this particular image is quite endearing because it holds a very personal meaning for the artist. Paul's imagination was activated by a photo of his eldest daughter with one of her chickens, which she raises as pets, on her shoulder; also, she has served several times as a surrogate mother, so the chicken flying in carrying an egg to her has a special meaning. We learned about these details in an interview that Maya posted regarding this charming image. This puzzle was full of fun with an unusual border and many chicken whimsies.
