This is a 349 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of "Hunting near Hartenfels Castle" by Lucas Cranach the Elder. The richly detailed classical 1540 painting is paired with a design by David Figueiras and Ashley Boyd consisting of completely unique interlocking pieces and plentiful whimsies that have a similarly high level of detailed, making the puzzle especially engaging.
The puzzle has a straight edge but the complexity of the pieces makes it harder than average for its piece count.
Like all our puzzles, made with 1/4" thick wood and the pieces are laser-cut.
Packaged in our standard pine wood box.
Made in USA.

A sublimely perfect puzzle with sky (just enough to trick you into thinking this will be easy), water, and lots of lush green. This northern renaissance gem is a window into a world - a slice of royal life, formal, idealized and brilliantly clothed. The cut is delightfully quirky and complex. The art is vividly packed with detail upon detail making this one a real challenge. There are so many tiny faces hiding in the brush. Hounds, stags, boars abound. Pull out your magnifying glass to see the bear giving a hound a nasty bear-hug. This one is a new favorite.
