This is a festive 386 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of the folk art "Toucans" by Jonathas Araujo. The design by Meredith Fields includes many carnaval and other Brazilian-themed whimsies (including multi-piece whimsies).
The connectors are also themed and varied. The puzzle has a straight edge and varied piece shapes, but a lot of similar imagery, making this kind-of-hard (a bit harder than our average puzzle) overall.
Like all our puzzles, made of 1/4" thick laser-cut wood and made in the USA. Packaged in our standard pine wood box. Made in the USA.

Finally got around to puzzle my toucan puzzle. I love all Artifact puzzles and it is very hard to choose which one to do next. I love their quality and they are all so different. Can never get enough. This final picture of the toucans is so beautiful. Even my husband could not help himself and admire the completion of this puzzle. Coming from my hubby that really is a compliment as he has no interest in puzzles whatsoever!!
The colour saturation is just beautiful and brings these toucans to life.
Again Maya and the team did not disappoint with the creation of the cut and the whimsies to fit the theme from the beautiful women adorned in their costumes , animals and their cubs and the ultimate was the young lad with his football. Many other fantastic whimsies to love in this puzzle . I found this puzzle to be a steady pace with really no tear your hair out moments. Filling in the greenery took a little more concentration but it was worth that extra concentration seeing these amazing birds come together. I agree with Barbara and Larry. Give this puzzle a go.
If you love a stimulating experience with your puzzles this is for you. Thankyou Maya and the team for another creative puzzle. I just want to say to anybody who lives international outside of the US and can get these beautiful puzzles shipped to them and have been thinking about purchasing. Don't hesitate in buying these wonderful puzzles. They are always packaged well and they are wonderful company with the best customer service. I live in Australia and never have any issues. Attention puzzlers who are searching for a difficult puzzle!! You need go no further!
First of all. you will notice right away that there has never been a review published for this puzzle, "Toucans". We think we know why----is it because no one has ever managed to finish it until NOW?? Yes, we completed it and now we are here to tell the tale.
Just to be clear, we selected this puzzle for its potential mellow qualities. We liked the beauty of the image and the lovely colors, relishing the chance to brighten up our winter days with this stunning jungle scene. We also love whimsy pieces, and this puzzle promised a plethora of those. Lured by the assurance of such splendor and charm, we launched ourselves into the unknown Toucan-Territory. We were surprised by these very tricky Toucans, and their Wily Ways We were ever thankful for the numerous whimsies, as we needed them to help us machete our way out of the jungle!
We have completed almost 100 Artifact puzzles, and this was one of the most challenging. We were rewarded by the stunning spectacle of these seven Toucans enjoying their native habitat, and also by a good sense of accomplishing this Puzzling Project. We recommend that you give it a try too, especially if you are one of those aficionados seeking a stimulating, invigorating tussle!!
