This is a 336 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle featuring Bruce Riley's abstract artwork "Half Life." Puzzle designer Tara Flannery has created a masterful puzzle with its irregular edge, clever themed whimsies, and endless array of different types of connectors. NOTE: The irregular edge is not shown in the image on the box! The puzzle is harder than average.
Like all our puzzles, laser-cut from 1/4" thick wood. Packaged in our standard unfinished pine wood box. Made in USA.

Really interesting, different challenge. The last few pieces were actually quite difficult if you do not look at the image posted here (which shows what the outer edge looks like - the box does not reveal the shape).

Our 8th and instant favorite of all the Artifact puzzles we've done to date. So much going on. The last handfull of all-black pieces were a real PITA but so satisfying when finished. Bruce Riley's artwork is amazing, Tara Flannery's puzzle design is just outstanding and so thoughtful. We can't wait to do this one again.

"Half Life" as a standalone puzzle is one of Artifact Puzzles best. Irregular edge, brilliant colors and the organic chemistry themed whimsies will please many life science nerds. The fun lasts longer with "Half LIfe" than with "Stem Cell" because it is a bit bigger and has some areas that need different solving approaches due to shifts in the cut style. This puzzle can combine with "Stem Cell" with some separately purchased connectors. Doing "Stem Cell" plus "Half Life" together is amazing fun, and HIGHLY recommended. Half Life is the follow up puzzle to Stem Cell. They are equally fun puzzles to put together. The connecting pieces to conjoin the puzzles is also a must have. I have one sort of dumb complaint about this puzzle (and only because it came out after Stem Cell) the background of this one is black and the background of stem cell is navy blue. Not a problem is you just have one or the other puzzle but when you’re doing them both to connect, it’s a little funny. Not a huge thing, and definitely not a reason to not buy them. Just an observation.
