This 68 piece wooden puzzle has no picture - the pieces themselves are the puzzle. An added twist: there are only four different colors of pieces, and no two adjacent pieces are the same color (mathematically speaking, it illustrates the Four Color Map Theorem (see wikipedia for details)).

Note the picture on the box does NOT show the pieces assembled! 

This abstract puzzle style is inspired by a design and cut-style of master-handcutter John Stokes III.  The pieces were designed by Seattle artist Tara Flannery.

We expect this puzzle to take 60-120 minutes  for the average puzzling adult. but faster or slower puzzlers may fall outside that range. 

Like all our puzzles, made of 1/4" wood and laser-cut in the USA. Packaged in a small box with a magnetic clasp.

Review: I had to wait a long time for this to come back into stock, but it did not disappoint. I love shape-based puzzling, and the wildly varied pieces here are a delight to match up. The irregular border really keeps you guessing too, because you're never quite sure if there actually is a match to a piece or if it's the outer edge. The perfect puzzle to do in low-light conditions. I can and have done this one again and again.
