Artifact Puzzles - Diego Mazzeo Mechanical Griffin Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

This is a cool 207 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of Diego Mazzeo's steampunk digital artwork. Our puzzle pieces are themed to the artwork with steampunk whimsy pieces and an irregular gear-shaped edge (which cuts out much of the white border area). Puzzle design by Tara Flannery, Ben Goldman and Jim Muller. Like all our puzzles, the pieces are laser-cut and are 1/4 inch thick wood. Packaged in a small blue box with a magnetic clasp. Review: This was a challenging and fun puzzle right from the start. I was originally intrigued by the steampunk theme, but the irregular edging also led me in merry circles as I tried to determine where the actual jigsaw began and ended. I remember opening the box and seeing two pieces that didn't look like they fit the puzzle, but when the jigsaw was complete, not only did they fit, they made it magical. This "surprise" puzzle type is my absolute favorite of all the ones I've put together. We need more "surprise" puzzles!!!

Review: This is a FANTASTIC puzzle!! A friend lent it to us (our first Artifact Puzzle to try) and it was so fun, very intriguing, challenging, and addictive! I started it with my 12 yr old son. We had to take a pause for a few days, then he was too busy to work on it, so I continued. I was addicted and discovering the BEAUTIFUL, fun pieces and the surprises at every turn! So, when he wanted to help, I didn't let him. I ended up covering the puzzle and working on it alone so that he could discover the fun and surprises on his own, later, without any spoilers! Definitely challenging, but SUCH A GREAT, FUN, BEAUTIFUL PUZZLE!
