Ecru Puzzles - Aaron Wolf The Kingdom Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

$ 99.00

This is a 214 piece Ecru wooden jigsaw puzzle of "The Kingdom" by Aaron Wolf. The puzzle design by Jef Bambas consists entirely of interlocking pieces comprised of linked-together octagons (see images below for example pieces),. This puzzle is really hard! Our Ecru puzzles line is characterized by a closer cut and a matte finish to reduce glare. Like all our puzzles, made of 1/4" thick laser-cut wood and made in the USA. Packaged in our standard pine wood box.

Review: I really loved this puzzle. Got it because of the shape of the pieces. I was curious to see how it would work. What I wasn't prepared for was how beautiful the final product is. Because the pieces are so uniform it looks like a mosaic when finished. Colors are lovely. It's challenging but not crazy hard once you get the hang of it.

Review: Emboldened by the reviewer who says it's not really that hard, and entranced by the colors and fantasy of the image, I got this one. For me, it was definitely harder than the average-hard puzzles that are my usual safe harbor. I got stuck twice - once it turned out I'd put a piece in the wrong place, and another time I just couldn't figure out what to do next, but I re-focused on another part of the image and it all worked itself out. Overall it challenged me and was a needed distraction in these hard times, but it did not overwhelm, because heck there are only 214 pieces so one can be confident of victory eventually. The image itself is smashing, I fell asleep dreaming of flying around its sunset-bedazzled turrets. Sweet dreams to you all!

Review: I really love this puzzle. While it was easier than I expected, the unique puzzle pieces and great artwork kept it interesting and fun. I’m very happy to have this one in my puzzle arsenal.

Review: This is my 12th Artifact puzzle and the 1st to be disappointing. It has only 214 pieces, far below my usual threshold of interest, but the advertising blurb says: “This puzzle is really hard!” I thought I’d try it based on that and the novelty of the piece shapes, all chains of regular octagons. I found it to be actually quite easy, taking only 2 hours and 40 minutes to solve without ever looking at the box picture. So, with the low piece count and all the octagons being quite easy to deal with, this one will be passed on to my granddaughters. I do emphasize though that my disappointment applies only to this puzzle and all the others I’ve purchased have been exemplary in my opinion.
