Artifact Puzzles - Kevin Sloan Migration of Knowledge Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

$ 125.00

This is a 513 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of Kevin Sloan's painting Migration of Knowledge. The puzzle design by Tara Flannery has many extraordinary themed special whimsy pieces woven into a simple grid of square pieces with knob connectors. Most of the puzzle is quite tight, but there is one loose section due to an extra-special multi-piece whimsy.  This puzzle has a straight edge and average difficulty. Review: An extremely satisfying puzzle to assemble. The whimsies are delightful and quite clever -- be careful reading reviews because they might have spoilers! The colors are very clear, although the bottom portion has blurry outlines which may add to your challenge or to your frustration, depending on your mood. I also relied on the picture for this one--although I love animal and books, so looking at the picture let me enjoy the picture art more. If you haven't done an Artifact puzzle before, this would be a great one to do; if you have, you'll enjoy the usual Artifact quality.

Review: A favorite because of its Escher-like repeats and the knowledge theme of this puzzle. Love the idea of animal knowledge flows, and the use of human knowledge storage tools showing the knowledge divide.

Review: One of the keys to these puzzles "specialness" is the choice of image. Kevin Sloan is a master. Plus, the pleasure of working with 3D puzzle pieces cannot be repeated with regular cardboard puzzles.

Review: If you are new to Artifact Puzzles, just pull out any discretionary income from your budget—there are no movies worth $20.00 these days—and immediately plot a schedule to purchase any puzzle bearing the artistry of painter Kevin Sloan and puzzle designer Tara Flannery. Start with any painting that has an elephant (Sloan’s elephants look like they are going to come alive and bellow, move to a work featuring a turtle, and finally start chipping away at all of his crazy birds. Of course, here's a good starter, because you've got all three in one!

Review: My favorite puzzle yet, difficult enough but not overwhelming to my 8 & 11 year old kids when they wanted to help out. The whimsies were fantastic, some great surprises and perfect for the artwork's theme. This puzzle is a happiness generator!
