Artifact Puzzles - Bruce Riley Stem Cell Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

Artifact Puzzles - Bruce Riley Stem Cell Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

$ 60.00

This is a 191 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of Bruce Riley's painting "Stem Cell". Designed by Tara Flannery, the themed whimsies and miniature hexagonal connectors coupled with psychedelic colors and abstract shapes make for an exciting experience. The puzzle's irregular, microscopic-themed edge adds to the uniqueness and challenge (the difficulty is above average).

Like all our puzzles, laser-cut from 1/4" thick wood. Packaged in a blue box with magnetic clasp. Made in USA (specifically, in Fremont, California).

Review: Stem Cell as a standalone puzzle is great. Irregular edge and the organic chemistry themed whimsies will please many life science nerds. Four starts because there are some pieces that mimic long branching axon cells that are delicate and require care in handling as they are prone to chipping and breakage. The colors, though, are beautiful and the puzzle well worth doing. This puzzle can combine with "Half Life" with some separately purchased connectors. Doing "Stem Cell" plus "Half Life" together is amazing fun, and HIGHLY recommended. See the matching linking review of the "Half Life" puzzle.

Review: This is my favorite artifact puzzle to date. I love the irregular edges in particular! I pull it out periodically and still have to really think to get it done. I really prefer Artifact puzzles to another brand out there hands down! Clever, inventive, unique, challenging and well made.

Review: This was my very first Artifact puzzle. The one that after I completely it I wondered how I’d get enough money in my life to buy all the artifact puzzles? As my mind wandered to all the nefarious ways to earn some quick cash, I decided that instead of doing anything “questionable” I’d instead just slowly build up my library. I am happy to report that 5-ish years since my first puzzle, I now have over 50 Artifact puzzles. This puzzle will always be the special first one though. I just love it and it’s bright colors. It’s the one I loan out to anyone wanting to try a wooden puzzle. They all have to same reaction as I did when I completed it. They’ve never seen a puzzle with an irregular edge before and it blows them away.

Review: A really fun puzzle with great artwork. It was so satisfying to connect it to my favorite puzzle ever, half life. It would be so cool if more "add ons" were coming for this collection.

Review: The wonderful image in combination with the thematically shaped edge and piece shapes referring to single-cell organisms and chemical depictions makes this a work of art through and through. I just wish your puzzles were Ecru only – with fine, inconspicuous seams this would hang on my wall, like APAK’s Islands of Life.
