We kept our new Pooh Sticks puzzle secret until now because it was the puzzle used in our speed-puzzling contest yesterday.

Pooh Sticks refers to a type of race described in a Winnie-the-Pooh story where everyone drops a stick on one side of a bridge, then rushes to the other side of the bridge to see whose stick appears first.

The painting by Danish artist Iwona Lifsches has cheerful distinct color regions, making this one of our easier puzzles, suitable for families to do together.

The puzzle pieces are square, with three repeated exquisite non-unique connector shapes: ducks, lilies and flowers, and a few false edges. Those tricks make the puzzle a bit harder as you can put pieces in the wrong place, but the colors are so distinct we rate the puzzle as only average hard overall.

The puzzle comes in our standard blue box with a magnetic clasp. The image is on the box so this is an overall relaxing and charming puzzling experience.
