We are really enjoying testing the new, wacky Crumbling Creek puzzle by Samuel Hayward.
It has around 810 pieces with a straight edge, and is average hard for that piece count (but a bit harder than our upcoming Farm to Table puzzle).
It is highly-detailed with lots of amusing characters trying to keep out of trouble:
There's goblins, dinosaurs, owls, people riding flying pigs, sea monsters, a rat playing sax, and a lot more wackiness!
Here's a sneak peek:
Note this image does have some cartoon nudity like exposed cartoon buttocks, shows characters smoking, and has some cartoon violence like a cartoon person getting munched on by a dinosaur.
The piece shapes are pentagonal (inspired by a tessellation invented by amateur mathematician Marjorie Rice).
It's mostly simple knob connectors, but puzzle designer Marcelle Jay Iremedio has sprinkled in fun whimsical connectors too in shapes like a flamingo head.
Here's another peek at some pieces:
We expect to have this puzzle in-stock late October, sign-up here to get an email once it's ready.
