California's wine country is getting tragically devastated by fires (map below), and our best wishes go out to everyone fighting the flames up there.
It sounds a bit trite, but I hear that buying Napa/Sonoma wine could help their local economy get through this disaster.
Happily we're further south of San Francisco, just north of Palo Alto, and so far we're just getting bad smoky air.
A Korean friend suggested we eat pork belly, which was confusing until I learned it's a traditional Korean strategy for bad air quality. Tempting as that sounds, we're just cranking up our IQ Air Filters instead.
