Ok, this sounds a bit silly, but I was really inspired by the way this lemon half was cut. It's easy to think that innovation is something that happens at big high-tech companies like Google or DuPont, or in research labs by white-coated be-speckled people. It's easy to forget that just about anything can be improved, anywhere.
But here is a half a lemon cut in a way I've never seen before. Not only was it decorative, it actually squeezed lemon juice better than the normal straight cut.
If someone can improve something as simple as how to halve a lemon, what else can be improved?
(This lemon was part of a dinner at the Fess Parker Hilton in Santa Barbara).
