Most great art gets sold through galleries, which, in order to support themselves, have to charge a 30-50% mark-up. So it's great to see some artists making their originals directly available on Etsy.
One of our favorite artists, Matte Stephens, just put out a few new small paintings at some very tempting prices (he's got limited edition prints too, but if you can afford an original...).
I think this one of ChinaTown in San Francisco is the most compelling:
