This is a 509 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of "Ode to California" by Kozyndan. The art is inspired by the more naturalistic sides of California.

The puzzle has curvy piece shapes, a lazy hand-drawn irregular edge to make it a bit more difficult, and mucho California whimsies by puzzler designers Matt Lyon and Chandler, including whimsies of many famous Californians: Clint Eastwood, Michael Jackson, Liza Manelli, Marilyn Monroe, LeBron James, Snoog Dog, Bruce Lee, and Tony Hawk, as well as generic California surfer gal (seen above), hippy gal, and roller-skater woman. And there's a whimsy nod to Star Wars, a tip of the hat to Silicon Valley and the Central Valley, and some historic whimsies from the Spanish colony era and the famous Myers Manx original dune buggy.
The puzzle's difficulty is kind-of-hard for its size.

Not your average puzzle! I love the image so much. All the tushies made me giggle. But over all the artwork is beautiful - and the build was very complimentary.

Just finished this wonderful puzzle and I have to say this is a real nudist colony at its best. Its hillarious seeing some of the shenanigans these guys are doing but what a way to enjoy yourself. No hangups with these folks. Everyone is having a blast !!! Reading, Walking, Camping, Swimming, Hula Hooping, Roller Skating. Getting a tan, Bike riding.
They are doing everything I can picture sunny California would have on offer. I have never been to California but I think everyone knows how famous it is. Would love to get there for a holiday one day. In the mean time I can soak up this view the artist has captured of California. I think Maya and the team have did this puzzle so much justice. The whimsies are everywhere, from superstars to the animals. The most standout whimsy I love is Michael Jackson. His signature move is captured perfectly. At first when I received this puzzle I thought it would be harder. But there is that much going on and the colour changes makes it very easy to put together once you get started.I love the wavy border. I really had fun with this puzzle and it is certainly one I can do again as there is so much going on. I loved it...Love to see more cuts like this one. Thankyou Maya and the team for another brilliant puzzle even though a bit on the cheeky side which I love!!.
