This is a 373-piece wooden jigsaw puzzle of "After the Tiger Hunt". The puzzle design is by Jef Bambas. The connectors are varied and the puzzle has many themed whimsies, including a veritable herd of elephants. The edge is somewhat irregular. Expect this puzzle to be really hard. Like all our puzzles, made with 1/4" thick wood and the pieces are laser-cut. Packaged in our standard pine wood box. Made in the USA (specifically, in Fremont, California).

Review: If you don't refer to the box label as a guide (and maybe even if you do), you have here one of Artifact's more difficult puzzles. I tried putting the blue sky together first, thinking it would be a piece of cake. It wasn't ( pieces can and will end up in the wrong place). Next, I turned my attention to the colorful parade of people and pachyderms, thinking that since they stood out from the monochromatic background, they would come together quickly. They didn't (details on each piece are so tiny that searching for the matching patterns will do a real number on your eyes). So, with vision now blurry, I switched tactics and attempted to put together the remaining landscape simply by piece shape alone. That was exasperating because the majority of pieces are confusingly similar-shaped little triangles that remind me of misshapen maps of the State of Texas. A spot of relief in all this torture came with the whimsies, which are some of the nicest I've seen. In summary, this is an engaging, deviously-designed, really frustrating puzzle. Well done, evil Artifact.

Review: Fabulous! The artwork is so much nicer and detailed when you see it in person. This is a very challenging puzzle, both because of the cut and because of the green/tan background. Really enjoyed this. Multi-piece whimsies and an overall surprise that you can’t see in the photos here but really add a delightful element to this puzzle.
Review: I really enjoyed working this puzzle with its surprise twists. It was a bit of a disappointment to me that in the end the image was so small and faded that it was obscured by the lines of the puzzle pieces. Otherwise, five star plus.
Review: Another very engaging unique puzzling experience. I can't say enough about this wonderful puzzle. Love the distinctive puzzle pieces and the elephant whimsies were so much fun. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, but it was hard enough to keep me guessing several times and to make me hard puzzle happy. The top border was a bit tricky. I had to redo it a couple of times, but it all fit perfectly when I got the right pieces in place. I hope there will be many more puzzles made with this puzzle piece shape.

Review: This puzzle delighted me in every way. The only complaint I have ever had about your puzzles is that the fun is over too soon so I recently made the decision to work all your puzzles without referring to the picture. This puzzle required 3 days of intermittent attention. The exquisite detail visible in each piece, the quirky perspective or lack of perspective, the unique cut and triangle patterning in the overall puzzle design all served to slow me down. The edge was quite tricky. There are a couple of interchangeable pieces in the top border which caused much confusion near the end. I had to take the border apart, scramble the pieces and hope for the best. The second go was successful. I never did figure out where the hangup was so it will be interesting to re-work this one. I must say that for those of us who love to work slow your hard puzzles are true treasures. I work each puzzle 2 or 3 times in a month before lending it out to my puzzle hungry family.
