Review: More fun than most map puzzles. Interesting cuts and surprises.

Review: This is a fun puzzle, a bit more challenging that it might seem at first. Some whimsies and the pieces connect well, like typical wooden pieces. Some interior pieces have straight edges, so it would be hard to do the border first.

Review: This was a gas! I got this as a gift (everyone knows I love Italy) and I don't usually do jigsaw puzzles but doing this one changed my mind! When I got it and looked at the picture on the box, all that blue part looked boring, but I figured I'd just do the land part, but then there are all these fun shaped pieces in the blue part that it was actually a bit easier then the land part! This was so fun I actually just bought their Australia Map one as a house-warming gift for a friend I know is dreaming of going there, and my sneaky plan is to suggest we work on it together a bit when I go over to give it to them :).

Review: It's been 34 years since I spent a summer in Italy, but it's still the best summer of my life, and this puzzle was a fun traipse down Memory Lane. Loved that the city names were large and clear. Learned about some new Italian foods, like the difference between tortellonni and tortellini. And loved loved loved the Italian whimsies, though it took me a while to figure out the Sistine chapel one!

Review: We first did this puzzle with visiting family who doesn't puzzle much, so there were 6 of us working on it together, from 9 to 79 years old, and that worked great. Some people worked on the straight edge, some worked on whimsies, some worked on their favorite foods or parts of Italy. Some worked hard, some just poked a little here and there. Worked really well as a group project. Later we did the puzzle again just the two of us. There is so much detail neither of us felt like we'd seen it all yet. I think it's one we'll pull out often when we have guests, everyone loves Italy, there are lots of great whimsies, and it's easy to get going on but plenty challenging to keep everyone busy for a while.
