This lovely Asian art wooden jigsaw puzzle has 155 pieces.

This puzzle is average hard overall.

The piece shapes are a unique pentagonal tessellation discovered by amateur 20th century mathematician Marjorie Rice. The connectors are unique polygonal connectors.  Has a handful of themed whimsies, and an irregular edge formed by the pentagonal pieces. NOTE: The irregular edge is not shown in the image on the box! Puzzle design by Chandler Millwood and Matt Lyon.

The artwork was made by Japanese artist Tanomura Chokunyu in the early 19th century in the Nanga style.

Review: The tessellation added a fun twist. The colors are beautiful; I kept pausing to admire particularly pretty pieces

Review: If you are a fan of Japanese art you will love this puzzle; it is truly beautiful. The pieces are larger than I expected, making it easier to see the intricate details in the artwork. The colors are similar throughout which makes this puzzle more challenging than usual for a puzzle in this piece-range. Putting this one together was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I am already looking forward to doing this puzzle again! It is my new favorite Artifact puzzle!
