This is a 295 piece of "Baby" by Gustav Klimt. The artist's characteristic style keeps the puzzle's difficulty average when paired with Tara Flannery's carefully nurtured design. The puzzle has hexagonal pieces with reverse mushroom connectors, has a whimsical irregular edge, and includes lots of themed whimsies.

NOTE: The irregular edge is not shown in the image on the box!

Like all our puzzles, made with 1/4" thick wood and the pieces are laser-cut.

Packaged in our blue box with magnetic clasp.

Made in the USA.

Review: I thought this was delightful and well crafted -great borders, the most fun part of it. The colors made it challenging but this was worthwhile

Review: This is a trial and error puzzle. Even within the same approximate color/design block, the very small pieces are so similar you have to try each one in 15 other pieces to find one that fits--and often don't. Decided not to do it.

Review: Charming puzzle design. I was disappointed in the appearance of the final result. The space between the pieces obscured the image.

Review: What a perfect combination of a painting and its design as a puzzle! Tara Flannery's design literally brings life to this Klimt painting. Don't get me wrong: I love Klimt's artwork, it just tends to look flat and motionless, whereas the cut of this puzzle gives it a rhythm and a groove. The pyramidal upper edge echoes nicely the composition of the painting, and the whimsies on top add movement and dynamic by depicting the cycle of life. Whimsies inside the image are adorable (baby clothes, toys and paraphernalia), dropouts enliven the composition, and to spice things up some pieces are misleading by looking as if they could be part of the irregular edges. The biggest challenge is probably to assemble the quilt on the crib: difficult to make sense of what first looks like big puddles of colors. It is fun to immerse oneself in these whirls of abstract shapes, it is a very painterly experience. The design of the puzzle gives a nice structure to this magma of colors. For puzzlers like me who tend to rely a lot on the reference image, here in some places you just have to let go and be playful. Isn't it what we are looking for in a good puzzle?! Tara Flannery, if ever I encounter the original of this painting, I will think of the design you came up with, for sure! They are now completely inseparable in my mind, because they SO beautifully complement each other.

Review: I spent an enjoyable day absorbed in assembling this puzzle. The puzzle design with the hexagonal pieces was different and engaging. All the colors and patterns in the materials kept my interest. The irregular edge and the whimsy family on the top edge were the icing on the cake of this wonderful puzzle. I love Klimt's art and this puzzle did not let me down in any way. Another great Artifact puzzle!
