Ecru Puzzles - Allen Gilbert Cram Fisherman's Cottages Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle

$ 51.00

This 158 piece wooden jigsaw puzzle features American Allen Gilbert Cram's colorful post-impressionist seascape. Our Ecru puzzles line is characterized by a closer cut and a matte finish to reduce glare. The puzzle's design, by David Figueras, is built with a triangular structure and features whimsies that would feel at home in the cheerful art. This puzzle is a bit harder than average.

Like all our puzzles, made of 1/4" thick laser-cut wood and made in the USA. Packaged in a blue box with a magnetic clasp.

Review: I'm used to some difference between the color of the puzzle and the image on the box, but the washed-out blue sky on the box was nothing like the brilliant blue of the puzzle itself. (I think the original artwork might have a blue somewhere between the two.) This made the cover image much less useful in assembling the top part of the puzzle. The piece cut was exotic and engaging (5 stars for that part).

Review: This is a very lovely puzzle. A very peaceful, coastal painting and just the right amount of difficulty. The cuts are very close and fit nicely, however I did note some burn discoloration on the surface. A pleasure to put together. I will surely do this one more then once.

Review: Fun and interesting little puzzle. At first glance the pieces for this puzzle all look the same but when you really look you can begin to see little differences. I found this to be a very enjoyable puzzle. It’s more challenging than average which makes it more fun! Lovely image too!

Review: The colors of this puzzle appealed to me at first sight. Despite its relatively small size, I picked this one as our family Christmas puzzle. It was a delightful hour to complete it. I enjoyed very much the amusing shapes of the pieces and their compatibility. The completed picture was vivid and tranquil as if you could breath the salty fresh air by the water.

Review: These shapes aren’t my favorite artifact ones, and I thought the image could’ve been printed slightly more vibrantly in the medium blue areas - but it is a beautiful impressionist water-themed painting. Worth doing but maybe not super exciting if you are a seasoned artifact puzzler. We put it together a few times then were ready to pass it on.
