The 72 pieces include a number of river-themed whimsy pieces designed by Seattle artist Tara Flannery (click on the small image below the big image above to see example puzzle pieces).
All our puzzles are made with 1/4" wood. Comes packaged in a drawstring pouch.

Favorite puzzle of the past few years.Nov 08, 2009
This is my favorite puzzle I've done in a while! It comes highly recommended by me.
My wife and I work long hours during the week, and wanted something to do to pass the time before going to bed. Sometimes we watch Jon Steward, some time we cook a meal, sometimes read, sometime swe play the Wii. Usually we just talk a bit and go to sleep.
Then we decided to get a puzzle, and it was a really nice change of pace. The first one was a 750 piece puzzle which we really enjoyed. Then we got a 1,000 piece puzzle. It dragged on for several weekend and started feeling like work after a while. The next puzzle was a very difficult 750 piece puzzle. After several weeks, we gave up and I purchased 5 or 6 puzzles that each have 100 - 300 pieces. These fit our lifestyle much better. They are relaxing, only take a few days, and never over-stay their welcome.
As you can imagine, puzzle have become a little bit of a routine. We separate the edges and the various colors. Then we put together the edges. Then we start working on the easiest parts of the puzzle until we're done. But this little wooden puzzle was different. Much different! We were not able to go about it in our "normal" fashion because some of the pieces in the middle of puzzle have straight edges. Wow! Weird, novel, engaging, and VERY FUN. Puzzle pieces usually have 4 sides. Each side either goes out, or goes in. It is very systematized. Not so with this little wooden puzzle. It really felt like a puzzle figuring out how to put it all together.
This 82 piece wooden puzzle was the crowning jewel of the last bunch of puzzles I purchased. It only took us 20 - 30 minutes to complete, but it was very enjoyable. Everything about the experience was great. I even enjoy the feel of the thick wooden pieces.
If you're looking for a weekend activity, this is not it. If you're looking for a short sweet novel experience, then this puzzle comes highly recommended.
