| | | Description: | | This 91 piece puzzle is a map of 16th century Venice. We believe it dates to 1565, and was by Bolognino Zaltieri. To make this puzzle suitably challenging for adults, most of the connectors are interchangeable and the pieces are square, so you must pay careful attention to the image. The puzzle also features a whimsy piece of the famous Lion of St. Mark, a symbol of Venice. To see examle pieces, click on the small image underneath the main product image. I had this puzzle about finished 5 times and then realized the pieces I had left didn't fit into the remaining holes.
On a map all the pieces look the same and pieces fit together that look right but aren't. I'm a pretty good puzzler but this one was a tuffie!

Not many fun pieces - mostly very square and very similar pieces - which makes for its own knod of chall;enge but compared to other puzzels by Artifact this one is only OK.

this type of puzzle is incredible- unfortunately small but still very awesome; I would love to purchase a few more of their puzzles
