Cole painted two paintings, "The Past" and "The Present" , as a social commentary on the rise of industrialization and the possible dangers therein. This 519 piece puzzle depicts a castle landscape with a jousting tournament which seems to create infinite depth through its intricate detail. Our use of this painting is courtesy of the Mead Museum at Amherst University. Our puzzle features many fairytale-themed whimsy pieces designed by Maria Berg. All our puzzles are laser-cut in Seattle from 1/4" wood. Packaged in our standard wide pine wood box. Made in USA. | | | Features: | |

Cole the Past Wooden Jigsaw PuzzleJul 10, 2011
By Sentry Overall a VERY fun puzzle to do -- love the shapes of the pieces! The fit is great. The picture is gorgeous, but the finished puzzle is quite dark and a lot of the detail is lost. Additionally a few of the pieces have a shinier finish than the rest of the puzzle. Having a larger picture to work from would have been helpful. But the packaging is great -- love the wooden boxes.
