| | | Description: | | This 192 piece puzzle is John James Audubon's illustration of five species of woodpeckers. The top-left pair are Hairy Woodpeckers, the top-right pair are Red-bellied Woodpeckers (red-bellied woodpeckers have mostly yellow bellies but there's a small red stripe on the lower/center belly region which is not clear here), the angry pair in the middle are Red-shafted Woodpeckers, the
parallel pair on the main trunk near the bottom are Lewis' woodpeckers, and the
bottom left side/right side pair are Red-breasted woodpeckers. Puzzle design by Maria Berg- to see sample pieces click on the little picture below the puzzle image. (To improve the woodpeckers' living conditions, we've replaced their original boring plain background with some sky we borrowed from one of Francesco Guardi's paintings.)
